Our preschool program accepts children ages 2 1/2 through 6 years old.  Commerce Children’s Center has three preschool classrooms and provides care for a maximum of 50 preschoolers.  Our preschool program provides children with the opportunity to participate in large group activities, small group activities and work time.  At work time all children are allowed to make choices from several learning areas and are encouraged to follow their own interests and to explore new opportunities.  Our preschool classrooms have special visiting programs.  These visitors provide the children with the opportunity to explore such units as Pottery, Dance, Yoga, Song and Creative Art.  These programs meet once week throughout the school year. From time to time, our preschool children take field trips to local interest areas and parents are always encouraged to attend.
